Crochet Baseball Cap

Remember this hat?  This was my first commissioned project back in December, 2014.

Here is the little prize that the hat was made for: Liliana Sustare. :)

Crochet Leaf Coasters

I had the fun idea to make leaf coasters for my friend Melanie's birthday.  I couldn't find a pattern I liked, so I made one up.  It was the first time I have ever written out a pattern that I made.  I wanted them to all be uniform, which is what prompted me to do it.  This is Melanie's set.  They were such a success, that I am now making them for just about everyone I know. :)

The first picture was in natural light, but the colors don't come across very clearly.  This second picture is with the flash, so you can really get a good idea of what they truly look like.

This is the finished "wrapped" product.  Melanie did enjoy them, and I'm looking forward to seeing them at her house. :)

I made this little set of orange and brown ones for my Grandma Bethel.  She is a woman after my own heart, who loves those colors. :)

Here is another set I made for my best friend.  The ribbon turned out really cute!

I hope you have enjoyed these, and if you ever want the pattern, I can get it to you! ;)

Crochet Doily

I decided to try my hand at thread crochet, and made a doily for my Mother.  I used a rug pattern that I liked, and made this with it, instead.

Thread crochet has always intimidated me a bit, because it looks so delicate.  I did not think that would be able to pull it off, but I am SO happy with the end result!

I will certainly be doing more crocheting of this kind in the future.  There are so many different possibilities this method opens up. :)

Crocheted Ponchos: The Finished Product

I have been absent for a long while.  I have had some surgery, and have been at home, with no computer access, really.  The good news is that I have been crocheting aplenty!  Here is the first of several posts:

The Ponchos!
Below are the finished ponchos for Amelia (Millie), Cecily, and Bronwyn, who are three of my nieces.

Here is a close up of the three side by side.

 Bronwyn

 Millie

 Cecily

I have not yet sent the ponchos to the girls, who live in West Virginia (I am in Oregon).  I am going to any day, however.  Fall is upon us, and it is the perfect time to wear a snugly poncho!

This is Macy, once of my nieces that lives in Washington.  She stayed at our house for a week this Summer, and I made her a poncho, as well.  :)

This is a close up comparison of Macy's (left) and Millie's (right) ponchos.  I used the exact same colors but for two.  I replaced the white that I used on Millie's with hot pink for Macy.  The girls are close in age, and I wanted them to match. :)

I hope you have enjoyed the photos, and I will post more when I have pictures of the three girls who have yet to receive their handmade, cozy fun!
